Not thrilled about ANY American being killed, but catch 22 is a catch 22.

They’re not even moving their goalposts. They’re saying hes a member of DSA and a part of antifa so was never conservative in the first place. Basically living off of an entirely different set of “facts” over there

The violent right looks for any reason to attack innocent people. They can’t even trust each other, they’re so violent.

I posted several times that the choice of Kirk as a target seemed odd for a liberal assassin. To my experience, it always seemed the left thought he was sort of a clown. He only really was treated seriously by the right.
Of course, even now we aren’t 100% sure what this kid’s motives were, but the idea that he comes from a conservative family in a conservative part of the country really helps illuminate why Kirk was the target, whether because the motivation was from a righty or a lefty.

MAGA talking points, rebuked:
“He was crazy!” “So, we’re going to restrict crazy people’s access to guns, right?”
“He was antifa!” “So you admit Charlie was a fascist?”
“He’s a left wing liberal transgender plant!” “I see why you’re so against the first point.”

I got perma banned from a conservatives sub for quoting chuckles.
Friendly reminder that Republicans and their supporters are not conservatives. It’s disingenuous to call them that, despite that being what they call themselves. Republicans today are much closer to authoritarianism or full on fascism depending on how radical the individual you’re talking to is.
Conservatives believe in fiscal conservatism. Republicans led states in the US are almost all failed welfare states who don’t generate enough GDP to offset federal handouts largely from blue states. They in no way represent their own fiscal values
Conservatives believe in conservation. Richard Nixon created the EPA and signed both the clean air act and the clean water act. Republicans today are explicitly pro-pollution and hate anything to do with being a steward of gods earth as instructed in the bible.
The list goes on… You aren’t talking about conservatives. You’re talking about American Republicans and they share almost zero values today from both a voting and policy perspective with the definition of conservatism. Stop calling them that.
